I love to talk to plants
Though people think I’m crazy

To Daffodil and Daisy
And everything that grows
From Fern to Prickly Pear
I’m gonna to talk to plants as long as plants are there!

I love to talk to plants
Especially when they’re sprouting
After winter’s frost
They’re glad to have an outing
“Welcome back!” I cheer
We’ve missed you so! they call
Let’s have a chat on what’s been happ’nin’ since last fall.

“How ya doin’, Dandelion?”
Glad you asked. I’m doin’ fion.
“FION??” Sure! I’m a dandelion!
“Though I’m not completely fion!
“People think we’re all just weeds, you see
“Maybe we don’t have a pedigree!
“Still, I think we’re cute, don’t you?
“Oh, Dandelion, I think so, too!”

I love to talk to plants
To Roses and Hydrangeas
All the plants I meet
Are anything but strangers!
Weeping Willow waves
Whenever I say “Hi!”
And all of the Tulips blow a kiss as I stroll by!

“Oh, my goodness, Morning Glories!
In a week you’ve climbed two storeys!”
Yes, we’re racing to the sky
With Ivy, look! we’re eye to eye!
“Hurry up, then! yell Impatiens
All our friends and our relations
Root for you to win this race!

Marla: Hey, guys! You look radiant today!
Plants: Thanks!
Marla: Are you thirsty?
Plants: Yes! Totally!
Marla: Alright, here you go!

(Water trickling sounds)
Plant #2: He-he! That tickles!
Marla: Sorry! Here...is that better?
Plant #2: Much! Thanks.
Plant #3: This is delicious!
Marla: Glad you like it…I added plant food….
Plant #4: Hey, I’ve got a joke. Ready?
Marla (sighing) OK, go ahead…
Plant#4: Knock, knock!
Marla: Who’s there?
Plant #4: Little old lady!
Marla: Little old lady who?
Plant #4: I didn’t know you could yodel! Ha, ha! Isn’t that a scream?
Marla (sighing again): Um-hm! Let’s talk about the weather!
Good news! It’s going to rain tomorrow…….
